Two longtime friends of some 40 years are at the heart of the fatal shooting of the Bandidos El Paso chapter president six years ago.
A jury on Wednesday found Manuel “Manny” Gallegos, a biker with the Kinfolk Motorcycle Club, guilty of engaging in criminal activity-assault. Gallegos was accused of setting up a fight that resulted in the murder of 61-year-old El Paso Bandidos leader Juan “Compa” Martinez Jr. in 2017.
Gallegos, now 63, his wife Virginia, Martinez and his wife Gracie had all been friends for about 40 years, according to lawyers.
The guilty verdict was handed up Wednesday following closing arguments. The trial began its punishment phase on Thursday.
